| The scientific education of young academics is one of the aims of the Competence Centre for Bibliometrics. It is intended to achieve a sustainable building up of competencies in this domain. Therefore three PhD positions were created at the beginning of 2010. Thematically these positions are integrated into the sub projects of the partnering institutions. Each PhD position is situated at one of the scientific consortium members, which means a contract of employment between the PhD candidate and the supervising institution. Due to this close relationship the integration of the PhD students into the regular research projects of the institutes will be secured. At the same time the PhD candidates are given the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in the context of a close relationship with a partnering scientific institution which means that for a limited period of time of their research stay the PhD candidates can work at the site of another member of the consortium. |
